VACATION IN JAMAICA
Most of us when we think of vacations, we want somewhere to relax, somewhere away from home, away from the pressure of work. All we need is peace and a little bit of enjoyment, fun and even better a change of environment for quite sometime. Some of us love vacations on the beaches, others hiking or even others adventure in the forest is something they enjoy for vacations. I would personally recommend you to visit Jamaica if you are planning to go for a vaction since it is not only rigid to the beaches but has all the features that I mentioned above.
Located in the Caribbean, Jamaican tropical climate is very welcoming thus tourists can visit at any time of the year. Tempratures are always high throughout the year. I love reffering Jamaica as a blessed island because of the beautiful sceneries it has. Starting from the beautiful waterfalls, one can enjoy swing diving in the blue hole which is actually a natural curve. If you enjoy mountain climbing, you may hike in the beautiful mountains of Jamaica such as the Blue Mountain Peak which is the most popular and most visited mountains in Jamaica. If you happen to have a height phorbia, you may relax on the beaches in the north western part of Jamaica where the most beautiful beaches are located and not only sitting, you may enjoy snorkelling and get a view of the beautiful coral reefs and colourfull marine in the sea of Jamaica. You do not have to swim in deep to view the marine, instead they are actually close shore.
Jamaica has a great historical background whereby it was inhabited by spanish people who brought in slaves by Africans whe have so far been living on the island for centuries thus influencing its cultural background. Jamaica is a home to one of the greatest musical genres, " Reggae". Reggae is among the most popular songs in the world and being in Jamaica its like being in the kitchen of reggae music. Going around the city exposes you to the beautiful street reggae performances. You do not have to pay to watch the street perfomances as they are free unless you want to go to a live performance which will cost you a few coins. Other than Jack chicken, Jmaica has different variaties of finger-licking traditional dishes such as curry goat which is always served with rice, Escovitch fish, Ackee and salt fish which also happens to be Jamaican national dish which is served with green bananas or yam mostly taken for breakfast of brunch.
The Jamaican culture was influnced by Indians, English, Spanish, Africans and chinese who migrated and lived in the region. The migration of different ethnic groups into the island, brought about its cultural influence starting from the food, music, language and dance. Bruckins is one of the popular dances which is a mixture of African and European influences.Jamaicans believe dances bring about healing, and they have a specific dance known as Gumbay which is believed to be a dance of healing.
With all the beautiful sceneries, Jamaica has one of the most beatiful restaurants and hotels that will make your stay in Jamaica more enjoyable and welcoming all through. I will recommend you to save up so as to enjoy more in Jamaica since the services there will make you want to spend more. It costs an average of $1,400 to spend a week in Jamaica for two people meaning if you have a larger family, you will be required to save up a little bit more.
Jamaica is a very beautiful Island and I encourage you to put it in not only your vacation list, but also your bucket list because honestly it is worth a visit and a vacation.
Your post was very informative, it defiantly helped me learn more about Jamaica. However, incorporating some pictures into your post would have mad it more intriguing to the reader. Also remember to cite your sources.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading this blog post about Jamaica. I think you created great imagery in your paragraphs and I could see myself on vacation there. However, I do think some actual images would have made this post even better. Besides that, this was very informative and persuading. I also liked the fact that your paragraphs weren't typed like one big essay. For some reason reading smaller paragraphs makes you feel like your reading less and it helps you focus on the content.
