RESEARCH PAPER INTRODUCTION. When Coco Chanel said that, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must be different” she turned out to be right about especially with the growing rate of creativity, most of the people work on being unique. The Cayman Islands is an example of what Coco Chanel was talking about. Back in the 198o’s, Cayman’s good political stability, peaceful and welcoming people, and great business opportunities were among the major factors which led to the growth of tourism sector in the Cayman Islands. It was until Luther Miller’s research during the time that opened the eyes of the Cayman’s Island to shift to a level of uniqueness. Luther noticed the commonness of resources among most islands in the Caribbean and thus alerted the Cayman’s Islands government to try and find other methods different from the turquoise seas and beautiful beaches which would attract more tourists each year compared to other islands. To date, the Cayman’s tourism sector has kept on booming each
SELF ASSESMENT ON BLOG       I first wrote a blog for the very first time in my life, at the beginning of this semester and I happened to learn a lot. I have noticed that each time I am assigned a blog to write, I get to learn something new. For example, the first blog I did not have to include sources on my blog, and I happened to assume that it was going to be the same thing with other blogs, but it was not. I happen to not meet the criteria of including images and soon how to include sources in most of my blogs. I started working on that as from my previous blog where I also learnt to insert and edit the images on my blog.   Including sources and researching on the concept given gives me a hard time when it comes to writing blogs. I like to first research and plan my blog before I begin writing, something which takes me a lot of time to work on. I am trying extremely hard to make sure that I write great content when it comes to my blogs so that anyone who reads it will enjoy reading

. HOW HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS OF JAMAICA HAS INFLUENCED THE ISLAND Jamaica was formally recognized as "Xaymaca", the land of wood and water. It was named Xaymaca by the Arwak and Taino people who were living in the land. The Arwak and Taino people occupied the island many years earlier before Christopher Columbus had discovered the land in the year 1494. After Christopher Columbus discovered Jamaica, Different types of people started migrating into the island. Spanish and the British people were among the groups of people who came into the island. The Spanish ruled over the island for about one and a half centuries after which the British took over the island. The British grew labor intensive crops such as sugarcane and tobacco which required great labor force, so the British brought in slaves from Africa who worked on the plantations. The slaves were subjected to hard labor and mistreatment which led to the rise of Maroon wars which arose twice. The mistreatment of the Jam
THE HISTORY OF JAMAICA             Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean. It is among the most popular and most visited islands in the Caribbean due its beautiful sceneries, culture, music, and most importantly its music originality. Everything in Jamaica has a historical background. From the island itself, to the different cultures in the area, the dances, music, and the people living in the country. They have an origin and a history where they came from hence forming the beautiful land of Jamaica. I have done a wide research on the history of the island and that is what I will be explaining today, just as the topic states.               Jamaica was conquered by two countries within a span of half a decade. The first country to conquer Jamaica was Spain in the year 1655 during the Anglo-Spanish war. The Spanish ruled over Jamaica from 1655 to 1707 after which the British conquered Jamaica again and ruled over it from 1707 to 1962. It was in August 1962 when the

bing.com My name is Dorcas Nyakundi, I am a freshman here in GGC. I enjoy helping people alot something which pushed me to persue a career in Nursing. I also love and enjoy writing this days unlike before.I find it overwhelming on how writing has become one of my favorite things to do. I never had a good relationship when it came to writing even though I was taught that in high school but I only did that for the sake of finishing assignments and getting a good score. After joining college, my English professor in ELI always emphasized on us enjoying what we read and write and make it part of us. Slowly I started changing my mindset on writing and started embracing it as part of me and something that I would use to speak out my heart. Other than writing, I also enjoy dancing and c
